Beef tallow — rendered fat from grass-fed cattle — is back in skincare because its fatty-acid profile closely mirrors the lipids in human skin: rich in oleic, palmitic, and stearic acids plus fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K. Why tallow suits skin so well

Our Tallow Moisturizing Balm blends grass-fed tallow with two traditional skin ingredients: manuka honey (a humectant that draws moisture in while tallow seals it) and cold-pressed black seed oil, whose thymoquinone is a studied antioxidant (PubMed). How to use it

1. Face: a pea-sized amount on slightly damp skin after washing — damp skin locks in the most moisture. Night use is easiest to start.
2. Body: elbows, heels, hands, anywhere winter-dry. A little covers a lot.

Will tallow clog my pores?

It's moderately comedogenic — most skin does fine, but very acne-prone users should patch-test on the jawline or start with body use.

Does it smell like beef?

Properly rendered, filtered tallow has a faint neutral scent that fades on skin. Ours is unscented — no fragrance added.

Is grass-fed actually different?

Yes — pasture-raised fat carries a better fatty-acid profile and higher fat-soluble vitamin content than feedlot fat.

Can I use it under makeup?

A thin layer, given a few minutes to absorb, works as a rich primer for dry skin. Heavy application will fight foundation.
